11th Grade at the Saeima Open Days

On September 25, our school’s 11th-grade students attended an Open Day at the Saeima of the Republic of Latvia, which this year was dedicated to a significant event in Latvian history — the 35th anniversary of the restoration of Latvia’s independence.
During the visit, the students had the opportunity to explore the Saeima building and test their knowledge of the restoration of Latvia’s independence and related events in the digital quiz “The Vote That Changed History.”
A special activity involved writing postcards to their loved ones. Students could write a personal greeting or message and share their thoughts and feelings.
An educational field trip like this allows students to learn about history and civic participation beyond the pages of textbooks—in a place where decisions important to our country are made.
