Project objectives:

  • develop communication and interpersonal skills
  • improve ICT skills and digital competences
  • foster creativity and critical thinking
  • Motivate students to actively address social issues
  • learn practical skills related to film production
  • understand the role of music and sound in film making
  • develop interdisciplinary thinking by linking different elements
  • raise awareness of cultural features, similarities and differences
  • improve your English and get to know other EU languages

International activities

  • 2018. November 2009 – Teacher training in Germany (2 teachers)
  • 2019. February 2009 – LTTA 1 (learning/teaching/training activity) in Italy (6 students and 2 teachers)
  • 2020. May 2010 – LTTA 2 in Poland (6 students and 2 teachers)
  • 2021. October 2010 – LTTA 3 in Latvia
  • 2022. April 2009 – LTTA 4 in Turkey (6 students and 2 teachers)

Local activities:

  • regular meetings and workshops with project participants
  • logo competition
  • creation of information posters
  • Creating an Erasmus+ corner at school
  • Student film club activities (storyboarding, short films on specific themes, jointly selected themes, short film on an EU character)
  • study trips to the Riga Film Studio, Riga Film Museum, etc.
  • Debate on social issues in Latvia
  • preparation of worksheets and questionnaires
  • regular updates on project activities in the Facebook group and on the partner schools’ websites
  • Collecting materials for the “Tips for filmmaking” brochure
