Career Week

In the heart of Riga—we learn, explore, and collaborate!

  1. On September 18, students from the ISMA “PREMJERS” High School went on an exciting educational walking tour of Old Riga and downtown Riga. This event took place as part of Career Week.

Students from grades 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 participated in this event. The route was filled with interesting tasks, new information, and opportunities to explore Riga’s cultural and historical sites.

It was particularly interesting that the 9th-grade students served as event hosts and “guides” — at various stops along the route, they provided information about the sites and prepared questions and activities for students in the younger grades. It was a great opportunity to learn from one another, develop communication and organizational skills, and collaborate outside the usual school environment.

Career Week is a great opportunity for students to learn about various professions and develop skills that will be useful in the future. During this event, 9th-grade students had the chance to step into the roles of tour guides and event hosts, gaining valuable experience and a better understanding of the specifics of these professions.

The event required knowledge and attention to detail, as well as navigation skills, stamina, and teamwork. But most importantly, the students gained new experiences and, together, discovered Riga from a different perspective.

A heartfelt thank you to the event organizer, Oksana Krivenoka, for the idea, the organization, and all her hard work!

We would also like to thank the homeroom teachers of grades 7, 8, 10, 11, and 12 for accompanying the students, for their support, and for their involvement in the event.

Thank you also to our 9th-grade students for having the courage to take on the roles of tour guides and event hosts!

May today’s photos serve as a reminder of what we experienced, discovered, and accomplished together in the heart of Riga!
